Happy July, y’all We’ve got a jam-packed month for ya and we are so excited for you to come by and experience all the fun. Check it out: : The annual American 4 Miler is happening tomorrow! Race categories include the 4 Miler for adults, the 4 Miler for kids K-8 and a kids mile. Head to our website to learn more. : @midtownballroom has several 8-week progressive couples class series starting in July, including a Salsa class starting July 10 and a Cha Cha and Waltz class starting July 18. : Music at the Met continues this month each Thursday from 6-9 p.m. Expect performances from @deanpetersonjr, @rustypilotacoustic, Jennifer Miller Alvarado and @naterandallmusic. : Join us every Tuesday at 6 p.m. for Met Sweat with @sweatnetcharlotte. Upcoming classes include a solid core workout, a dance workout with AKT and rooftop pilates barre infusion with Hilliard Studio. (Please note there’s no Met Sweat on Tuesday, July 4 due to the holiday.)

Welcome to Metropolitan, Joan’s Bakery and Deli The same folks who brought us @dresslersrestaurant are launching a new bakery and deli concept set to open at Metropolitan this fall. The business is named for Jon Dressler’s mother, Joan Dressler, who is responsible for many of the dessert recipes folks enjoy at Dressler’s today. But there’s more: In addition to sweets like cheesecake, apple cake and carrot cake, @joansayseat will become the new home for @meshugganah, the popular Jewish deli pop-up created by Chef @rob_clement. Clement will lead the bakery and bring his Meshugannah staples, including pastrami and corned beef sandwiches, to the Joan’s menu. We’ll keep you updated with grand opening plans here.
