Welcome to Metropolitan, Joan’s Bakery and Deli The same folks who brought us @dresslersrestaurant are launching a new bakery and deli concept set to open at Metropolitan this fall. The business is named for Jon Dressler’s mother, Joan Dressler, who is responsible for many of the dessert recipes folks enjoy at Dressler’s today. But there’s more: In addition to sweets like cheesecake, apple cake and carrot cake, @joansayseat will become the new home for @meshugganah, the popular Jewish deli pop-up created by Chef @rob_clement. Clement will lead the bakery and bring his Meshugannah staples, including pastrami and corned beef sandwiches, to the Joan’s menu. We’ll keep you updated with grand opening plans here.
